The hospital was established in 1975 in Himayat Nagar by the late Dr. P. Siva Reddy, an ophthalmologist. It has remained at Himayat Nagar since then, and three generations of the same family have practised ophthalmology here: Dr. P. Siva Reddy, the founder; Dr. H. Prabhakar Reddy; and Dr. H. Siva Mohan Reddy, the present doctor.
